Thank you for stopping by. I wanted to share this card with you today for two reasons. First it was my first attempt at using markers. I'm starting to see more and cards beautifully coloured using Copic Markers and then a light came on. I have Pantone Markers!! Oh my I had them all along stashed away. What a CRIME!! So I blew the dust of them and started colouring.

My Second reason is...I made this card for my friend, I think she's the greatest mom ever (besides my mom) and this image of a little girl and her mom cuddling reminded me so much of Laura that I had to make her a card with this stamp. I even tried to make the hair match!

So here's to Laura, your the best girlfriend.

Love Melyssa

A Rocking Christmas

Rocking chair pattern by http://www.petrinacase.com/

As soon as I saw this rocking chair template I just had to have it. The trouble is what to do with it when you have it..LOL It would make a really cute christmas ornament. There are so many things you could put in the seat. Pumpkins, real treats (like Kisses), a heart or heart box, flowers....oh I could go on and on. Hahaha.

Supplies

Here's my second favorite border punch it's called Doily Lace by Marta Stewart.
As soon as I saw this little bear leaning on some presents I just had to have him. I made one that is for a baby, maybe a baby's first christmas and one that is more traditional (red and green).

Drippy Goo Border Punch

So I bought this punch (Martha Stewart Goo border punch) and I LOVE IT!!! I can see so many possibilities with this punch. I know it is a halloween punch but who's say's I can't improvise. My goal is to make cards using this punch in as many different variations

as I can possibly think of. I hope you can help.
If you can think of another use for this punch add your idea in the comments. I will update this list as the ideas arrive.

here is my list so far:
1. Green goo from a witch's cauldren (dahhh no brainer there...LOL)
2. The ends of a dress (giving the dress a tattered look) someone did this to a witch's dress, it was awesome.
3. Icing like on a cake or cupcake (first card)
4. Melting icecream (second card)
5. Icicles or snow covered something
6. Icing on a gingerbread house
7. Rain, spilling water, splashes (summer fun, pool party, beach card)
8. Punch in white for Spilled milk (can you see the phrase for this card!!)
9. Punch in red for blood (halloween, someone's hurt, get well, bleeding heart, etc.)
10. Wet Paint-thanks Paula! OR Egg paint as in Easter Eggs
11. Drippy CHOCOLATE!! yuuummmm, thanks Heidi
Don't forget I'd love your ideas to add to this list. I am going to try and make a card from each item in the list
