ShortCuts NoteCut 1 Tealight gift box

Well it's the last day of March already!
Let's end the month with a 3D project for ShortCuts. I love making gift boxes especially if they are pretty crafty. I see smaller versions of these with little chocolates inside. I wanted to make it different so I used tealights. I cut circles and flowers out to splip over the top of the tea light just to make it more decorative. "You light up my life" was printed on a NoteCut 1 from ShortCuts, today is the last day you can download it for free!! It's really great to have this NoteCut as a digital file because I can put digital stamps or word are on it and print it out as one object, or many times. (depends on how many you want).

In case you want to know how to make this I've included a tutorial for you. Have fun!

I will announce the winner here on April 1.
If you want to see all the sneak peaks visit here.

Your Branch or mine

Well I just discoverd yesterday that CC Designs sell some of their as digital stamps. I was so excited!! I can order stamps and get them almost instantely. No more waiting for days.
Here's my first card using CC Designs. I had to put this little guy on a ShortCuts Clear Card cause he is just to cute to not to stand alone.

Then I decided to make a background and see what that will look like. I chalked the cloud background. I didn't look cartoony enough for me so I cut out some fluffy clouds. I know it's a cloud overload but when you see the card closed I think you'll like it much better.

"Your Branch or mine" was created in PS and printed out along with the hanging monkey.

Wishing you well ShortCuts card

Well good morning
Another week has started and it's time for another ShortCuts card. This is only the second "Get Well" card I've ever made! I really should make more, I'm sure they'll come in handy!
I choose to use the clear cards from ShortCuts to make this card because I wanted it to look "light" and "airy". Also I used the new NoteCut 1 from ShortCuts, and it's free to download this month. I hand stitched the edges of the NoteCut and stamped my soup bowl and saying.

Snowflake Spinner Card

Yesterday I woke up at 4 am with this card in my mind. Can you believe it, the first day of spring and I'm thinking Christmas???
Well I had to get up and make this card before it vanished like a dream. And it's the first time I made a "spinner" card!! And it works!! The "track" I made for the snowflake is in the shape of an "S" on purpose. I thought it would be fitting (s for snowflake) and more decorative since I have a gaping hole on the front of my card.

Here's a pic of "behind the scenes". 1 foam square between the snowflake and penny, 1 foam square (trimmed fit the track and rounded so it will roll) between top penny and bottom sandwiched between the track. Double foam to make the track high enough to float the whole contraption.

Here is the card half way down the card. It's hard to see but the top of the track has a little cove cut out so the snowflake will stay at the top until you give it a nudge. Like a little speed bump!
Caution this snowflake spins FAST!!

Mojo Bookmark and Bombshell

Well I tried the Mojo Monday (week 78) sketch for this card. As soon as I saw it I thought "bookmark". Soooooo...
I pulled out my Pirate Bombshell (Bombshell Stamps) again and made her a bookmark. She's gonna get tired of me inking up her face!! LOL. Hummmm you know if I change the colours to make the card more "masculine" this would make a cute Father's Day card!
I also put together a little quickie of a tutorial on how I went about making the bookmark.

A ShortCuts NoteCut card

Well it's Monday and half way to the end of the month already! Where does the time go?
Today's card is made with the new NoteCuts from ShortCuts. You can download this shape for free! I enlarged it to use the shape as my card. I made a second copy larger to use as the mat. These NoteCuts are so versatile, you can resize, print and cut them. If you have a cutting machine you can even load them and have the machine do the cutting for you.
I actually got the idea for this card from Carla, she makes some really sweet cards!

A NoteCut cupcake birthday card

Gooood Monday Morning!!
Well another week has past and it's time to share another ShortCuts NoteCut1 creation with you. For this card I choose the ShortCuts clear card, I love that you can stamp on these cards and such an impact with so little. I stamped a cupcake on the NoteCut 1 and matted in blue. A little liquid applique, glitter and flower brads top off the cupcake. The thing I like most about using NoteCuts (besides the pretty shapes) is because they are digital files I can make it as big or small as I like and I never run out!!

Don't forget to check out what the other ShortCuts DT members created with their NoteCut.This month on the ShortCuts blog, you can download NoteCuts1 for free!

Bombshell Pirate

Well it's sunday morning and I have a new card for you. And I finally used my Bombshell stamp set "It's a Pirate's Life" as a pirate. So far I've made her Cupid, a Leprechaun, nurse and a valentine. So I thought it was about time to acutally make her a Pirate. LOL.

I random stamped the striped paper with the skull and crossbones and gave her fishnet stocking. The background scene was made using Pantone markers.

3D Friday Peek-a-boo card

Well I'm cutting it close but I do have a 3D project today!! This is a little cand card holder I made after finding the tutorial on SCS. It's called a Peek a boo treat holder. And I used a stamp set that I think is just the cutest set ever! I just love the little mouse in the tea cup. You can find him in a stamp set called "Cup of Stuff" from The Greeting Farm.

I thought the cup needed to be more antique looking so I used Crackle Accents (it's a glaze that cracks all on it's own as it dries). It's really cool stuff, easy to use and works perfectly. Only problem is that I do not have the proper ink and so the ink bleed. Ugh! It's so frustrating!

Hope you like it dispite the bleeding!

Supplies:Stamps-Cup of Stuff:The Greeting Farm, Cardstock:CTMH, Crackle:Inkssentials (Ranger), Oval and scallop:Nestablilities, Paper-Making Memories Paperie, Verse stamp:Inkadinkado

Guess what?

Oh I'm so glad I don't have to keep this to myself anymore!!
I'm thrilled to announce I am now a Gardner for The Greeting Farm!! Yep I'm one of six new Spring Gardner Design Team members. I love making crafts using Marie's stamp line and can't wait to get started on some new projects.

Check out the blog if you want to see who the other talented and lucky ladies are that also made the Spring Gardner Team.

I only have one card to share today. This is Miss Anya she is one of 3 in a set from The Greeting Farm. Isn't she cute!! I love the details and colouring possibilites in her. The stars make it a little harder to get the card in the envelope but I think they brighten the card and make it fun!

Snow day digi page and NoteCuts

Good Wed morning everyone! I woke up this morning inspired to Digi scrap, and since I haven't felt like this since Nov I was excited to get started. This page is a combination of three things, first is a cool digi kit site that REALLY has my attention it's called Weeds and Wildflowers. If you like Eclectic you'll LOVE this site! The second inspriation is a sketch site for cards, tags and layouts. It's an awesome collection of sketchs that are really detailed with samples of each sketch, this site is called Page Maps. And last but not least I was trying to come up with something differnent to use the new NoteCuts from ShortCuts. Mix the three inspirations and you get this page!

This is my handsom son Koale. He was out playing last week on a snow day. He was doing flips in a snow bank and yelled for me to come and see his Gymnastics! I of course grabbed my camera.

I change the photo to B&W and cropped it around the NoteCut1 from ShortCuts. Throughout this month you'll see more cards using this shape from all the DT girls of ShortCuts.
