Be mine with sprinkles on top

Hey ya'll it's Twine Time!!  As soon as I spied the new paper pack CRUSH by Authentic I knew I had to have those blue pink and black papers and that I would definately have the Twine to match.
To be honest I fussed over this card for days until I finally walked away from it.  A few days later I picked it up again and wondered what I fussed over.  I thought it looked cute. LOL

I used the Solid Caribean blue twine from The Twinery and tied it around the card mats.
Then I cut triangles from pattern paper and attached them with 3D foam tape.
It's that easy to make a banner.
The heart shaped donut is called HOLE LOT and it's a digital stamp from Whimsie Doodles

I used Strawberry Twine to tie in the colours of the papers and the sentiment.
The Elephant digi stamp used is called Nuts about You and it's from Whimsie Doodles.

For this card the natural light washed out the colours of the Strawberry twine but it was a perfect fit for this card.
The digital stamp used for this card is called OWL and it's from Whimsie Doodles.

SugarPea Designs Day 4 Release Week 12 Days of Christmas

It's day 4 of new release and I thought it might be fun to make fridge magnets out of the little images from 12 days of Christmas.  They are super easy to make and really cute when done.
Step 1: Stamp and colour image
Step 2: Cover image with Diamond Glaze or Mod Podge and cover with clear glass dome.
The glaze will leak out the sides.  That's ok.  Just let it dry throughly.
Step 3: Use the glass dome as the guide and cut around the image.  Keep the scissors close to the dome to get a clean perfect cut.
Step 4: Glue on a small magnet and let dry.  That's it!!

Sam E. Snowman

I have some really exciting news to share with you.  Tomorrow A Jillian Vance Design will be releasing my first ever die set!!! Eeeek.  I had some time to give it a test run and I couldn't be more please.  My new wood grain stamp is coming tomorrow as well, at first I was a little nervous about it but once I started stamping I fell in love.  It's not you typical skinny wood grain stamp this one is big and bold.  It definitely has a whimsical playful look to it.  I hope you like it as much as I do. :)

Here we go with Sam E. Snowman die set and my wood grain background

Now I've got some cards made by using the "empty" or negative space the die leaves.  I used clear card stock to behind the snowman so I could glue the scarf and buttons on, now everything looks like it's floating on the card.

Check out my other stamps here.

Franks candy is GOOOOD!!

The first card is just bursting at the seams with candy corn!! I also created the border with the stitching stamp. I coloured the little Frank image and cut him out to adhere him to the inside of the (after I stamped the sentiment)
For this card I used the muffin stamp and heavily embellished it with sequins die cut stars and charcoal twine.  The cut out star was created by cutting the small star then centering a larger star over the empty star space and die cutting again.
This guy was really fun to make since I love cupcakes and so does he.  I drew the little pumpkin face on his t-shirt  with a black Copic multi liner. The pattern papers are from a Halloween theme Project Life pack.

Out Foxed

Another Tuesday and I'm ready to share some things I made using the New Out Foxed stamp set from Whimsie Doodles.  First here's a Mini Bag I decorated by creating a scene, I was going for a sunny blue sky in an open field look.
My next project was created to decorate my new Z Becky Brown hand bag :)  I wanted to re-create the sky and field from the Mini Bag above and added the trees from the Oh Nuts! stamp set.

Laugh out loud

Z Becky Brown challenged the team to decorate their handbag using text. I wanted something that would shout out "Carpe diem"  So I used on of the Ziva Papers and started pasting Project life tiles on.  I coloured the cute little "Abby Girl" digi  with copics and proceed to decorate the rest with stickers.

I've been struggling with trying to keep the words together and laying nice and flat then it hit me... sticky tac!! (the stuff to line your dresser drawers with) Why not treat the paper sticker like vinyl letters?  So I dug out my repositional mac tac and it worked like a charm.  The key word is "repositional" you want stuff that's not overly sticky that it will pull at your cardstock but sticky enough to temporary stick to your letters. I bet Sticky notes would work just as well. :)

Here's how to keep intact word stickers when trying to place them.
1. Clean off any access paper around and in the word.  For example the centre of the "l", "a" and "g"
 2. Peel your sticky tac and place it across your word, rub the tac gently to make sure the letters stick.  Peel the tac off pulling the letters with it.
 3. Place your word where you want it to go and rub the letters to press them onto your paper.
 4. Gently peel of the sticky tac.
 5. This also works for loose letters.  Stick them together half way on the sticky tac, position where needed and pull the tac off.

Camping Thanks

A little twine and a dash of veneer makes for a great campfire card.  I love the new style of placing sequins on a card but since I don't have any I replaced them with wood stars.   The stamps I used are from Whimsie Doodles new collaboration with A Jillian Vance Design called Happy Trails.  Cappuccino twine was used to tie the button.
I'd love to own a sun die but since I lack that particular tool I have to improvise and the brad punch  for the iTop braddies is a perfect option for me.

That Bites

It's begging to look like Spring around here and to be honest I'm not looking forward to see these guys anytime soon.  LOL I random stamped the background then stamped the image and coloured it.
Definitely my kind of camping :)
Of course I can't make a card without my Twine, I love the Cappuccino twine it's a perfect match to kraft cardstock and doesn't over do it.

Let's go Parking

Another Monday, well at least it's a new month! A new month means new digi's from Whimsie Doodles and a new set of stamps for A Jillian Vance Design.  Today's cards feature an activity I have only tried once.  Once was all I needed to verify what I suspected, I'm not an outdoorsy kind of girl. :)  But I'm ok with that. Now we take our tent out every summer to "air it out" then think about going camping answer with a "Naaaaah" then pack it up and store it away till next summer.  Now I've created some cards feeling all experienced in the camping genre.

You've been egged

After I designed this chic/rooster guy to sell as a digi stamp I was really wishing he was a clear stamp.  I think he'd make a great mini stamp set. So I enlarged the original image "Egg-scape" and removed all the background stuff and used him as the main focus of the card.

These little goody bags were fun to make.  I usually hate making the same card twice but when it comes to production type work I actually enjoy the challenge.  I made 25 of these little bag of goodies for my co-workers.  I bought the brown candy bags at a local supply store. Now I have 985 reasons to find something else to do with them :)

Seas the Twine

What an exciting month it's been.  I just released a new stamp set called "Seas the day" at Jillian Vance Designs and I made The Twinery design team.  So I combined both products to make some cards. I was happy with how my first card turned out that I tried to make a copy, but alas I could not. I started out will all the same elements but then started thinking "what if I do this" and well here's what happened.
What if I use the blow fish?
What if I just use the crabs?
What if the blow fish was peeking out of the water.

Bee Mine

This year I decided I was going to make little Valentine gift bags for whoever I meet on Valentine's day and that I better make a bunch.  Making a lot of one thing is not really something I'm good at so I knew that had to be quick and easy.  So I created some cutting files and set my Cricut to work.  While it was busy cutting I started cutting up some scraps and start gluing them to some little glassine bags.  Now I just had to fill them with goodies.

You can get the cutting files I used to make these bags by visiting here and downloading them.

Lollipop Treat Covers

I just love 3D stuff, especially if it's paper pieced.  I love paper piecings, packages and presents! Did I tell you I've been playing with some new SVG's (and JPEG's) and absolutely love putting them together.  They're like cute little puzzles that you can decide the colours for.  Here is what I put together using the newly added Lollipop Treat Covers from Whimsie Doodles.

Here are some Valentine Treats for school aged children....
You can't have a school theme without a pencil.
Sweet baby shower favors
Stamps-Carriage: PSA Essentials
Don't forget your furry friends, or friends with fur babies!!
I made these for my Vet and her staff

Hint: If you don't have the right colour card stock just cut everything out in white and colour the individual pieces.  I did this for the glue bottles, pencil and baby bottle images with my Copic markers.
