I Soda Like you and free download

Well It's monday morning and it's the start of another month with ShortCuts. Today's card is also introducing NoteCuts by ShortCuts. For the month of march you will see projects using this NoteCut and my fellow DT members will be posting their NoteCuts cards as well.
ShortCuts frosted sheet was used to create this card, I stamped the background using white StazOn. I printed the NoteCut, cut it out and stamped the image. I also paperpierced the NoteCut.

During the month of March, you can download NoteCut1 (shown above) for FREE!!
You can print this onto your favorite patterned paper and cut it out by hand, print it onto cardstock and create a template (to trace onto patterned paper), cut it with many popular electronic cutters, or use it in your digital scrapbooking!!

Included for FREE are the following file types: .ai, .eps, .jpg, .png, .svg, .csh

Seize the Cupcake_ShortCuts 3D Friday

Wow! Today is my last 3D Friday post for ShortCuts. Another month is over already. Today’s post is a Gift Card Holder. Instead of a gift card I filled it with little pull-tabs with funny saying to cheer a friend. These gift cardholders are so fun to use, and for the next couple of months I’ll be showing you what other ways you can use them to! They even come in 4 different colours, White, Vanilla, Kraft and Black.

Here’s a file of the sayings I used (got them from a daily desk calendar). Just print, cut out and add your favourite stamp image.
The tabs read:
Your family thinks you’re a good egg even if you’re a little cracked.
You can’t have to may friends or pairs of shoes.
When the going gets tough, the tough eat cake
Never eat more than you can lift

Good morning! It’s 3D Friday already and here’s another ShortCuts post…a 3D Cupcake!! Yep it’s a little container in the shape of a cupcake that you can make yourself. Friends with Chocolate_ShortCuts 3D Friday

Well it’s Friday already and it’s time to post a new 3D project for ShortCuts. This one is my favourite. The window in this project is made with ShortCuts Frosted sheet. It’s perfect for this kind of application because it’s sturdy and semi-transparent. It gives you a little peek and still keeps the secret! Do you remember the Life Saver candy boxes that appear around Christmas? My husband remembers getting a box of these every Christmas from his grandmother. Well I just love the box and decided to make one that would hold any kind of candy I wanted to fill it with. I put my favourite candy inside orange flavoured vanilla kisses.

incase you want to make a box for your friend I’ve made a template for you. Enjoy

ShortCuts-Hello card

It's monday morning already!! So how about starting the week off with a "just because" card. I think it's great to give someone a "hello" card, just to let them know your thinking of them or just want to touch base or just for whatever. Again I used ShortCuts clear card blanks as the base and decorated it. The large scallop on the bottom is actually 1" circles. Don't you just love these clear cards?? They make such unique cards, I love'em!

U R Loads of fun-ShortCuts3D Friday

Good Friday Morning, I hope your week went by fast! I can’t believe the first week of Feb is over already. Here’s the first of four 3D projects I have to share with you this month... a gift box I made for my friend Laura. I love making my own little packages for gifts. I think it gives them that extra special touch. I used ShortCuts frosted sheet to make the box to hold a little stamp set. I love the frosted sheets for this kind of gift because it gives you a little peek without giving away what’s really inside.
Every Friday this month I will post a new 3D project. Hope you stop by to see what’s new.

TECC52JC My Friend

Here's my version of the sketch challenge for Taylored Expressions.
The sketch requires a circle behind the image, I thought it would be neat to have a fan instead. Especially since it is something you might find a Geisha holding.
Cut a circle
Decorate with scroll stamp and Liquid pearls.
When dry fold circle in half. Repeat folding.
Cut 1 folded side of circle to center
Re-fold in acordian style folds
Attach lace. I use Diamond Glaze to glue the lace, it dries super fast and holds really good.

Scroll stamp-Inkadinado

Seize the Cupcake

Bisous has a paper line that are pre-designed quick pages called PDQ pages (Pretty Darn Quick….I think that is what they are called), all you have to do is add photos and journaling. I took one of these pages and cut it up to make cards. There are so many beautiful patterns on one page I couldn’t just make a page with it, I had to spread it out and make a couple of cards. Here is a card I just finished.

I wanted to add another matt around the Piggies because the white just wasn’t standing out enough but I didn’t want the “weight” of another colour. My solution? I inked the edges of a clear sheet from Short Cuts. Now I have an “invisible” layer with a touch of colour. You probably can’t see it but I also hand stitched little pearls on the lace.
