Happy Birthday Koale!

Hi everyone!
Today is my son's 15th birthday and he wanted a birthday cake that looks like Saturn.  Not a flat cake but a sphere with rings!  I've never made a speciality cake before let alone a ball but I watch Cake Boss and decided I would give it a try.
It turned out pretty cool I think, especially since I'm not a cake decorator or "Cake Boss" and this being my first try at making a cake that wasn't just a flat bottom square cake.  At first I wanted to wrap the globe in fondant, so I bought the mystery stuff  and some food dye and marble the fondant.  And tried to wrap it around the cake. NOT!!!  It didn't work.  Since I've never used Fondant before I didn't know what to expect but I did learn from it.  Anyway I just used plain white icing and a little food dye to create a swirling gas planet.
I used the ROBOTZ Cricut Cartrige to decorate the bottom.  I love the little 3D robots.
Here it is in all it's 3 layered chocolaty goodness. The bottom half is rice crispies.
