Oh my I've got butterflies!!

My favorite scrapbook store (scrapbooking cafe) just brought in some new dies from Memory Box and OMG I had to have them!!  Especially the gorgeous butterfly dies.  I love butterflies!! I couldn't wait to get them home. I started die cutting without any purpose, I just wanted to see how pretty they would look cut out from different papers.  Then before I started loosing any I had to put them on a card.  I ended up making 5 cards today. The best part is I used up my 6x6 paper pad and scraps.  So here are my cards....
Paper-Sunshine:Echo Park
Lace and ribbon:May Arts
Ink-Distressed Photo:Ranger
Paper-Sunshine:My Mind's Eye
Labels 4:Spellbinders

Stamps-Love Story:Verve

Paper-Sunshine:My Mind's Eye
This is the card I used up my scraps on.
How I did it
1. Take strips of scraps and glue them together.
2. Did cut the butterfly out of the card.
3. Stamp sentiment
4. Dry emboss background
*this must be done after stamping or the stamped image won't be even.
5. Glue strips onto the back (inside of card) of the die cut butterfly.
6. Machine stitch

I have the same dies. Love your cards. One question...the body of the butterfly is attached to the wings. Did you cut yours off to get just the butterfly cutout with the one done with scrap strips? Just wondering.

Yes I did separate the body from the wings Connie. I figured I didn't always want the body and didn't want all these "spare" bodies around.
