Cat is coming up Daisies

I've been experimenting with acrylic painting and mixed media lately. I"m really getting into Gelato's by Faber-Castell. Today I'm sharing my latest painting, I started by painting a purple background with some flowers, flowers as best as I can anyway.

Then I thought it needed to pop so I tried to some Gelato's to outline the flowers in black and to create a vignette around the painting. I thought it also needed more flowers.  Still it wasn't "right".

See the giant gap between the flowers?  It NEEDED something but what?  A bird house?  hummm maybe something bold so the flowers don't overpower it, maybe a cat, a black cat, tall and skinny with bright yellow eyes to match the daisy centers?

I know it's been a very loooong time since I posted anything, I've been drifting around looking for inspiration and dabbling in a few things.  Yesterday I finished a mixed media project I started a month ago.  I think I'm hooked :)  Boy was it fun, I'm dying to do more!! I started by painting a little girl then added wings made from pages out of a book (one of my husbands, shhhhh don't tell him) then I punched some daisies and glued some buttons and finished by printing off the sentiment and cutting it up and painting the big words.
