Try something new!

Well hello there, happy Friday!  Today's Farm Fresh challenge is mine.  You have to try a new technique or something you've recently discovered.  Well for this challenge I decided to try making those medallion things I see sprouting up everywhere on cards.  At first I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into but when I was done I was so thrilled with my medallion I made a couple more.
So challenge yourself to try something new and play along with us at The Greeting Farm.

Here's my medallion card.

Hip to be square

This week's Farm Fresh challenge is a sketch challenge.  It sorta reminds me of a quilt with all it's squares!  I made a square card with 5 squares inside.  I didn't count the layers but I can tell you this is one heavy card!
Hop on over to The Greeting Farm blog to see the sketch and play along with us!  Ok now I will show you my gone mad with squares card.

I used the adorable Amelia from the new Journey set from The Greeting Farm to make this card.  She's so cute sitting there with her best friend waiting for their journey to start.

A Lemon of a day!

I don't have a giant lemon stamp nor a small one for that matter.  So I have to invent one! I love to make paper piecings.  I haven't made one in ages but I'm finding more and more samples on cards and scrapbook pages.  Whimsie Doodles now has a Facebook page and they are giving away a free Margarita digi to new members.  (This is where the lemon comes in)  I made this card using only the sentiment from the new digi because I wanted to make a giant paper pieced lemon.  I even remembered to take photos of the proceess and you can see how I made the lemon here if you feel like making a big lemon or orange.

Whimsie Toodles Hop

Well it is a busy day indeed with two blog hops!  This hop is a bit sad as it is a goodbye hop to the Whimsie Doodles Design Team.  I will miss everyone and their talent.  As a special send off Whimsie Doodles designed a fun summer set called Sentiment-edibles especiallly for this hop and is offering it half price today.

-All you have to do is Collect all the letters the team have on their blogs.

-Collect and unscrammble the letters to create two words

-these words are now your code to get Sentiment-edibles half price!!

Here are some cards I made using this set

I didn't have green buttons that match the ribbon on this card but I did (believe it or not) have nail polish that is a perfect match.  So I painted the buttons just like I would have painted my nails.

For the Scoop card I cut out the scoop of ice cream and pasted it on top the original two scoops to make this ice cream tower.

My Letter is...

Your next stop on the hop is to the very talented Donna's blog.

Manly Bombshell Hop

Good day crafty crafters!

Time for being hot...it's summer!
So what's the deal with a "Boy Toy" bloghop.
Well, it's dedicated to the men in our lives.
Doesn't have to be a boyfriend or husband..... maybe a soldier, a father, or just a masculine theme or card.
Bombshell stamps have always been great for "manly" things, but now more than ever.
Just think about the new digi clothes stamps for the Bombshell Angel. The policeman, fireman, etc... they are GREAT for sending out that perfect card.

AND MAN...the new motorcycle stamps !!!

I used the new gorgeous Harley Bikes stamps to make these cards.

Just keep hopping to see more manly inspiration

A little Sunshine Chibi style!

Hello, everybody!
It's preview time again at The Greeting Farm and first up, we have brand new Chibis from artist Jessica Hymas! It seems that our little resident Chib has become QUITE the world traveler! These brand new digis will be released on July 1st and just might be the cutest chibis yet!
There are FIVE new chibis in all, but today I have the pleasure of introducing you to Africa Chibi! Isn't she cute?

I made the background with Prisma Colouring pencils on Kraft cardstock.  I thought she would look cute dancing on an Oasis.

The TGF Farmers have a LOT more to show you today on the TGF Blog, and one lucky winner will take home ALL FIVE of these babies, so if you haven't made it over there yet, be sure to check it out!

The Greeting Farm has TONS of previews to bring you all week long, so be sure to stop by every day this week between the TGF Blog and Club Anya and Friends to see what's on the horizon...JULY 1st is coming VERY soon and we are PUMPED!

See you back here tomorrow with another Preview that you will definitely want to see, and make sure to check out the rest of my DT mates and the Critter Crew as they have previews today for you, too!
