How about a Taylored Expressions sneak peek of Little Bits balloons and Think Happy Thoughts??

It's Thursday and I on the list to show you the newest release from Taylored Expressions and lucky me I get to work with a word die "Happy".  I couldn't resist the tiny balloons and sequins either. hehe

 After I made a "boy" card I knew I had to make a "girl" card and it was pretty easy since the Double the fun paper pack had both colour groups. :)

Note: I don't have spray bottles of colours so I had to improvise to create the splatter background.  It was easy since I have a lot of stamp pads.  I just squished the cover of "Sweet leaf" ink pad till it left colour on the inside of the cover.  Then I added a few drops of water mixed it around with a Bristol brush (hard crunchy brush) and flicked the colour off the brush onto the white cardstock. :)

This petite stamp set includes a very “happy” coordinating die and will be FREE with orders over $50 beginning on September 11th – September 21st. One free set per customer, while supplies last at Taylored Expressions!

Sam E. Snowman

I have some really exciting news to share with you.  Tomorrow A Jillian Vance Design will be releasing my first ever die set!!! Eeeek.  I had some time to give it a test run and I couldn't be more please.  My new wood grain stamp is coming tomorrow as well, at first I was a little nervous about it but once I started stamping I fell in love.  It's not you typical skinny wood grain stamp this one is big and bold.  It definitely has a whimsical playful look to it.  I hope you like it as much as I do. :)

Now I've got some cards made by using the "empty" or negative space the die leaves.  I used clear card stock to behind the snowman so I could glue the scarf and buttons on, now everything looks like it's floating on the card.

I feel so lucky to be the Guest Designer for Taylored Expressions.  Not only do I get their adorable stamps to work with but I also get to use stamps and dies I wouldn't normally use.  Pushing my boundaries is a great way to kick start my mojo :)

 I added little gems (finger nail gems) to decorate the butterfly body. I die cut the image in white and coloured the butterfly yellow.  It looks like I missed some spots. :)

Notes

If you sticker isn't the right colour then colour over it with the colour you need.  Colour over the letters and allow to thoroughly dry,  then remove the excess paper.  To make applying the letters easier apply a strip of prepositional sticky tac over the word and apply in position

The minute my mine bag die arrived I thought to myself "what else" can I make with it.  So I turned it into a flower pot.  Then while I was trying to figure out a sentiment for it I saw the Wonderful Words Challenge from Moxie Fab World and thought I had the perfect fit, the word die "Thanks" from Serendipity stamps.

I couldn't stop with a flower pot so I went a little farther and made a watering can.  I cut a circle die and then a smaller one out to make the handle.

It's a daisy kind of day

I made some what I thought would be simple cards.  I die cut a bunch of white daisies then strips of green cardstock to make a bouquet of flowers.  I used purple buttons for the flower centers and Lilac twine that matched perfectly.

I folded the daisies in half and then die cut a green daisy to use the flower petals as leaves.  And of course I found The Twinery twine Marigold that matched the daisy center perfectly.

I guess you've noticed the "sentiment" bits.  Well I didn't have the right sentiment for the cards so I Photoshopped the word in until I find the perfect fit.

Winter Magic Handbag

This month's challenge is Winter for us Ziva's so I thought with all the Holiday parties to go to I should make something a festive with a touch of elegance. This is what I came up with (based on a gorgeous card on Pinterest)

I used the Z Becky Brown's handbag My White Night and Ziva papers Natural White

 I used Platinum Stickles to paint the Veneer Stars. Here's a close up

I extended the background all the way around the insert. So the handbag is decorated on all 4 sides.

 Then I die cut the poinsettia and hot glued it to a ribbon and tied it to the handle.
