Integrity's Nothing Plane

Here's the second card in a series I've made for this week.  I used the sweet plane and sentiment digi stamp "High There" from Inktegrity.
The flower behind the sentiment is actually from the Lace cardstock.  I just cut the flower out and put glitter on it!  I sponged the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink (Ranger).

I'll post a template for making this set of cards from 1 sheet of designer paper Friday.

Congratulations baby card

My friend Joni from Inktegrity has created the cutest transportation digi stamps ever! I couldn't wait to print these out and colour them. I'll have a card a day to show you and friday I'll show you another "one sheet wonder" card set.  I coloured the train with watercolour pencils and glitter.

Group of Teal and Brown cards

Well from what I can gather the technique of making a group of cards from the same DP is called "One Sheet Wonders". This is my new favorite thing to do now. So I'll be posting picks of these wonder groups. I'm thinking I should also take measurements to help anyone wanting to try it.
Here's my first group
I have everything from Whiff of Joy, Gina K, LAD to Joni Wilson images.

Here's the last of the cards I've made using the same DP to make a group of cards. The butterfly is from Gina K. Watercolour pencils coloured the butterfly and a little Sticklers added a touch of shine.
Thanks for stopping by.

ShortCuts Outside the box project

Well I've been holding this back for weeks, I'm so glad I can finally show you my outside the box project. Have you seen things made by recycling ribbon holders? Well I just had to try my hand on one. I knew that ShortCuts clear sheets would be perfect for this project. The sheets are large, sturdy and crystal clear. So using the clear sheet I made my own luminarie!
Here's a view of the top!

Birthday Card

Well I haven't taken out my Lizzie Anne Designs stamps in awhile.
Is there a name for the technique of taking a designer page and making multiple cards from it? It's my favorite thing to do lately. I end up making a group of cards and adding an image later. (basically whatever fits). But I'd like to know or give this "technique" a name. Is it frugel card crafting?

I used watercolour pencils to colour this image. My markers are drying out on me already!! I guess that happens when they are a number of years old. LOL

ShortCuts Thursday

Gooooood morning it's thursday and I have a new ShortCuts card for you! I cut a piece of Frosted sheet with my Topnote die. It works just like vellum. I inked the edges to help show the shape and give it a ghosting image. Have you tried ShortCuts products yet? Well there's a coupon code on the sidebar if you want to venture out in creativity.

Whiff of Joy Guest Designer Call

Well I didn't think I could be surprised by Canada Post but today certainly surprised me! I purchased some of the most gorgeous images ever from Whiff of Joy Stamps. I recieved an email last Monday stating my stamps had been shipped so I figured they'd never get here in time for the Guest Designer call.
I was wrong!! The stamps arrived today! I was shocked how fast they got here. Just 7 days!! Eeeeek I couldn't wait to get started. So if you can image I locked myself into my craft room and went to work. Here are my submissions for consideration to be a guest designer.

Here's a close up of the gown. I just painted over the dress with "Diamond Glaze" and sprinkled clear glitter over top. I wanted to try and make the colours muted and soft so I used water colour pencils to colour the images. My skills aren't perfect but I did manage to keep inside the lines. LOL
I honestly couldn't resist this image. Wow it's breath taking without colour. I was nervous to try and colour it because I wasn't sure I could do the illustration justice. I really wanted to make a card that was antique and distressed looking.

Here's a photo of all the cards together.
Supplies
Whiff of Joy stamps used are: Confirmand Melinda and Willow holding baby
Spellbinders Blossom flowers
Duddlebug Beetle Black buttons
Designer Papers-BasicGrey, Cosmo Cricket, Daisy D's and CTMH

She's my cherry pie...

The other day I found this DP with cherries and skulls and instantly thought it would be perfect for my Bombshell Stamps. Of course I had the song "Cherry Pie" in my head all day long.
So I've been playing with my Bombshell Stamps last night. I've made 4 cards and 1 is almost finished.

Here's a close up of the flowers and buttons. I added some "glass effects" directly onto the buttons and sprinkled black glitter all over. I did the same thing to the edge of some of the flowers.

The flowers are just randomly cut some-what circles that I crumpled up and either inked or distressed the edges.

ShortCuts Thursday

Goooood morning!! Today's card was inspired by SheetLoad of Cards sketch challenge.
Using the sketch as my guide I cut the pieces of DP and digi images and assemble them (without gluing). After I was happy with the pieces I then decided what parts I would leave on the card front and what I wanted behind. Then I just attached everything to a ShortCuts frosted card blank!

Side view to show the isolated front DP pieces.

Here's the sketch

Thanks for being so sweet.

Last night I had this idea that I was going to take the strawberry from a cupcake digi stamp set called Yummy Doodles
and make a card that focused only on the strawberries. Don't mind my sewing job, (I put the bobbin in wrong and well it makes a mess of what your trying to stitch). I was just to tired to try and redo that circle piece. Sometimes you just have to live with imperfections. hahahaha No husbands do not count!!

here's a preview of the digi stamps I used from Whimsie Doodles.

ShortCuts card Feel Better Soon

Well gooood moring all!! Today's card is a totally cased card! I loved it so much I had to re-create it pretty much like the original, only with slight changes. I made my own clouds by cutting out a cloud shape from ShortCuts clear sheet. Yes I just freehand cut the clouds. No biggie, if I screwed up I just cut another one. Basically you just cut half circles. Anyway I've taken some photos this time of some of the steps to make this card. The rest is up to you! LOL

Here's how I made some of this cards elements.
1. cut and ink clouds 2.Stamp clouds 3. Print image

4. Cut out image 5. cut out tree trunk 6. Adhere to card.

Supplies

ShortCuts clear sheet (clouds)
Whimsie Doodles -Sunny Day (tree) digi stamps
