Well this week has been a very busy week. Thank goodness tommorrow's friday! I have a tutorial for you on how I put the window in the Gable box found here.

I used ShortCuts clear sheet to make the window because I knew it was the best as far as being strong and easy to work with.

Bombshell background stamping

Well gooooood monday morning!

Today's card was created using Bombshell Stamps Hawaiian Girl. I used the flower in the set to stamp my own backgroud. I used white ink from CTMH and stamped on Kraft cardstock. Then I coloured in the flowers using Prisma Colouring Pencils. The just for you and oyster are also from the same Bombshell set. This set is so versatile and full of sweet images.

LAD sketch card challenge

Well I have to tell you what I watched last night. Pimp my ride!! LOL. Ok so I wasn't watching but my husband while channel surfing stopped and called me out to see what they were doing. The pimped out a car complete with Digital Scrapbooking supplies! Can you believe that?? Lucky girl not only got a sweet new ride (rootbeer finish) but she was also outfitted with a laptop, new digi camera and portable scanner! All in her trunk! I tried but I can not convince hubby to pimp my ride! hehe were would I put my groceries then??


Ok so here are my last two entries in the LAD sketch contest. That's it I'm done, I'm not making anymore cards for this challenge!! Well today IS the last day to enter so I don't have a choice really.haha. Have you seen the new stamps they are releasing?? CUUUUTE. I want them all!!

ShortCuts Thursday

Wow the week is almost over, can you believe that?? Well it's thursday and that means another ShortCuts project.
The other day I decided I should drag out my little stash of Gable boxes. I have about 6 boxes and never did anything with them. Did I mention I've had these for YEARS!!!
I saw these boxes with windows in them and thought "hey I can do that". hehe and so I did. The clear sheets from ShortCuts are perfect for this kind of project because the sheets a thick and could handle this box being stuffed full without a problem. I'll have a tutorial next week for you.

ShortCuts and Memory Works

Have you ever purchased paper and once you brought it home and took another look at it you thought "what the heck was I thinking???". Well I do that! And so the paper sits and collect dust but ever now and then I get a brain storm of inspiration and I actually have a use for that alarming paper!!
Well as a DT member sometimes you get goodies in the mail from "sponsors". They choose the products they want you to feature. So this month am challenged to combine ShortCuts and Memory Works to make anything I want. Well one of the kits was not a favorite, but I thought the kit is very masculine and I should try to make boyish cards. Well after all was said and done loved the kit!! It was so easy to work with, the cards were masculine (which I find hard to do) and just sorta came together on their own.

Of course I used the clear card from ShortCuts for the card base because I LOVE CLEAR CARDS!! I'm hooked on them! The stars are stamped using White StazOn and the dew drops are glued using Diamond Glaze.

I hope everyone has a very happy saturday today! I am off to see the Tall Ships today and do a little shopping in my favorite store Michales. I thought I'd show you some cards I made using the new "Beach Borders" from Whimsie Doodles. The cards also feature "Flip Flop" the bear.

I also used the new "Beach Sentiments" for these cards.

ShortCuts and Memory Works

Oh my goodness I recieved the best kits ever in the mail! ShortCuts and Deborah from Memory Works teamed! The result? well I've made a couple of cards I'll be showing throughout the week combining both products. The first card I'm showing you used the Designer Paper, lace and brads from "Craft Fair" theme set. The set is from Deborah Cariker a Memory Works Consultant and I just love them!! You have to check out Deborah's Site for kits and supplies.

I instantly feel in love with this theme set!! They were so fun to play with, hehehe.

Tiki Party invites

Ok I wish I could explain in words about how very excited I am over a new set of stamps from Bombshell Stamps called Tiki Party!! At first I'll admit I didn't know if I'd use it or not, but after playing with the set today I KNOW I love this set!! There is a very nice selection of images and they are so easy to come up cards to make!! I have so many ideas as to what to make I had to stop and sketch them out as not to forget when I have time to use them.

For today I'm showing a little card box and mini invites I made to store in the box.

A card for LAD

I was busy all weekend working on new stamps, a website and making cards! I finished a set of monkey cards for a swap I'm in. It's not due till sept, but it was bugging me to have it hanging over my head so I sat down and made all the cards. Now I just have to get off my butt and mail the things! LOL.
