I'm pretty excited about this card. First of all I made the background myself!! I chalked the sky and used markers for the ground. Brads were used for the wheels. The second reason is I think I managed to keep it plain and boyish. This card is for my son's friend and if it hints at girlish he won't like it. So I tried really hard not to embellish it.

New little puppy gift box
Whenever someone gets a pet it's like bring home a new baby. So that's why I made this little dog house gift box to congratulate someone on their new little one.The dog house was made from a bird house template and I added the roof.

I found the template a long time ago and for the life of me I can not find the person who created it. Here is a link to the template.

Seize the Cupcake_ShortCuts 3D Friday
Wow! Today is my last 3D Friday post for ShortCuts. Another month is over already. Today’s post is a Gift Card Holder. Instead of a gift card I filled it with little pull-tabs with funny saying to cheer a friend. These gift cardholders are so fun to use, and for the next couple of months I’ll be showing you what other ways you can use them to! They even come in 4 different colours, White, Vanilla, Kraft and Black.

Here’s a file of the sayings I used (got them from a daily desk calendar). Just print, cut out and add your favourite stamp image.
The tabs read:
Your family thinks you’re a good egg even if you’re a little cracked.
You can’t have to may friends or pairs of shoes.
When the going gets tough, the tough eat cake
Never eat more than you can lift

Get Well Soup card
Yesterday I was all inspired by an idea! To make a "get well" card that holds a package of chicken noodle soup. And I even made a mini tutorial for it. Hope you like it.
This first card was made using Bombshell Stamps "It's a Pirates Life". I used the priate girl, left her outfit white and made a little nurse hat for her. I also made her stocking white fish net but it didn't photograph well.

A ShortCuts Quickie
Goooood Morning! Wow I can't believe it's Monday already and the last week of Feb. I don't know about you but this month flew by for me.
This morning I put this card together, it was pretty quick. Again I used the clear card from ShortCuts cause I love how you can make two cards in one. Flat the card is pretty cute, open it and you get a different look with the flower suspended in air all by itself and simply sending sunshine your way, so it's like making two cards! Pretty neat stuff! LOL Hope you like it.

Friends with Chocolate_ShortCuts 3D Friday
Well it’s Friday already and it’s time to post a new 3D project for ShortCuts. This one is my favourite. The window in this project is made with ShortCuts Frosted sheet. It’s perfect for this kind of application because it’s sturdy and semi-transparent. It gives you a little peek and still keeps the secret! Do you remember the Life Saver candy boxes that appear around Christmas? My husband remembers getting a box of these every Christmas from his grandmother. Well I just love the box and decided to make one that would hold any kind of candy I wanted to fill it with. I put my favourite candy inside orange flavoured vanilla kisses.
incase you want to make a box for your friend I’ve made a template for you. Enjoy

ShortCuts-Hello card
It's monday morning already!! So how about starting the week off with a "just because" card. I think it's great to give someone a "hello" card, just to let them know your thinking of them or just want to touch base or just for whatever. Again I used ShortCuts clear card blanks as the base and decorated it. The large scallop on the bottom is actually 1" circles. Don't you just love these clear cards?? They make such unique cards, I love'em!

Ice Princess and Figure Skate Template
I love making paper piecings. After I made the hockey skate I knew I needed to make a Figure Skate so here it is. The hard part was making a card to go with the skate! And just in case you would like to make the skate to I made a template for you. It even has the toe pick but it's hard to see in the photo. I thought the zigzag punch would make a cool border because it reminds me of the toe pick.

And if your wondering how I made the faux stitching, well I used a tool called a "tracing wheel", sewers and seamstresses use these to mark fabric. Years ago I used this tool to make stitches by loading the wheel with ink. It would leave a little ink trail of dots. Now I just run it along paper to leave an impression and it looks like stitches without a sewing machine. Pretty neat eh?

Ian's Valentine Cards
Ok so Elvis has returned to my blog!! LOL. This is Ian and he is from a stamp set called "Dress Me" and that means he comes in his underwear (or shorts depends on how you look at it). He also comes with a T-shirt and short outfit (see Cupid card). You can buy outfit stamps as well, but for this Elvis card I used my son's Halloween costume as my inspiration.
My First Bombshell cards.
Well I've officially started creating for Bombshell stamps (got my stash today). Here are two cards I've made already. The first is from "A Pirates Life" stamp set. I choose this set because you can make the Bombshell into almost anything. So instead of a Pirate I made her a Leprechaun. What do you think?
This second card was made using the "Holiday Accessories" stamp set. It's also where I got the leprechaun hat for the top card!

U R Loads of fun-ShortCuts3D Friday
Good Friday Morning, I hope your week went by fast! I can’t believe the first week of Feb is over already. Here’s the first of four 3D projects I have to share with you this month... a gift box I made for my friend Laura. I love making my own little packages for gifts. I think it gives them that extra special touch. I used ShortCuts frosted sheet to make the box to hold a little stamp set. I love the frosted sheets for this kind of gift because it gives you a little peek without giving away what’s really inside.
Every Friday this month I will post a new 3D project. Hope you stop by to see what’s new.

Flowers, a Heart and a Frosted Card
So this morning I woke up with an image on my mind. This card! I had to get up and try to re-create what I could remember from my vision. It’s not exactly what I woke up with but it’s close. I made the card on a Frosted Sheet from ShortCuts because I love the soft look of the frosted card. And if I want to add more colour I can always slip some paper behind the image and the frosted top will give is a soft muted look.

Make a heart shape (I wanted something wide and short).
Squeeze out some Liquid Pearls onto a scrap of paper.
Squeeze out some Liquid Pearls onto a scrap of paper.
Using a fine tip paintbrush pick up some colour and paint the flowers (from the centre out).
Dab a small amount of Diamond Glaze into the centre of the flower and add the Seed Pearls.
Glue the finished flowers onto the heart shape. (it took 17 flowers to cover my heart).
