Fall Apart

You know whats awesome about digi stamps?? You can re-size, flip and even delete bits.  No masks, no fuss no problem. I wanted a pair of bears so I used the digi stamp Healing bear then flipped him so that now it looks like they are leaning on each other. One supporting the other no matter how ragged they feel. They look like they could use a vacation. :)
Digital stamp- Healing Bear: Whimsie Doodles
Copic Markers: Bears: E23,25 and E25,27 + a blender pen to lighten the bears.

Happy place

Omgoodness I can't tell you how exciting it is to go out shopping with a little handbag that I decorated all by myself.  I"m more surprised by how many people actually notice it.  I think what I like most is the fact that it's "one of a kind",  it's unique to me and no one will have the same bag unless I part with mine. And well I don't think that will happen.  Well....maybe. Here's my latest Valentine design for Z Becky Brown.
If you want to see my gallery of inserts for the Z Becky Brown handbags stop on over to my gallery here.

Tip or Trick: I ran out of letters in "happy" so I nabbed a lighter colour (grey) letter and used my red copic to cover the grey and match it to the rest of the letters.

True Loves Kiss

What better image to have on your Z Becky Brown purse for Valentine's Day  then the iconic Snow White?? I gave her a little twist with blue eyes instead of her original brown and put her hair in a side pony tail.  I drew the image on X Press It cardstock and coloured it with Copic markers and multiliners.  Then attached the it to the Z Becky Brown Ziva paper.

Copic Multiliners-Black, Sepia and Turquoise
Copic Markers- N9,7,5,3, E11,00, BG57,53,11, R46,24,14

Daisy Thanks

I admit I"m not at all a person to buy or use flower stamps but when I saw these gorgeous Gerber Daisies from Flourishes I just HAD to have them.  I think it's because they are not only gorgeously detailed but big so I have lots of room to play with colour and try different techniques.
For the first card I wanted to keep the card really simple.  This is my intro class to Copic Colouring.  Keeping it simple with white on white and BG10 background blening.
This next card uses a combination of Copic Markers, Spellbinders and Memory Box.  Simple white on white with Pink Velvet antiqued edges from Ranger.  Stickles were added to bling the Daisies.
The last card I stamped Desert Sand (Memento) on Kraft cardstock then coloured the petals with a white colouring pencil.  Copics YR21,24,28 were used to colour the centre and E31 was used to add a shadow in the background.
Of course they just wouldn't be complete without the elegant sentiments also from Flourishes.  I can't get these stamps from my Local Scrapbook Store so I had to buy them online.  No biggie, I just had to be very patient.

For my cards I used the "Jungle out there" stamp set

I border punched a small stripe of pattern paper, pleated and glued it to the elephant the covered any mistakes with twine!!

Here's the same layout only for girls and this time I used the "no lines" technique by stamping with Memento Desert Sand ink.
 here's a close up

Red hair challenge #72

iCopic lover is hosting a colour challenge #72 this week and it's one of my favorites!  The challenge is to colour RED hair!!! Eeeek!!  I think this is one of my most favorite colours for hair.  I used the YR series for her hair, it's not exactly red but it's a more strawberry blond (on the orange side). LOL
I used a Social Teen doll head from Whimsie Doodles to make this card.  They have big heads that are perfect for customizing with hair clips, earrings or any other accessory.  This card was created specifically with my best friends daughter in mind.  She has gorgeous red hair and hazel green eyes and LOVE Angry Birds.  So I picked up that Angry Bird hair clip from Daisy Doo's Hair Clips, cut two slots in the hair and slipped the bow through.  Now the card IS the gift!

Doll head-Whimsie Doodles
Copic Markers: Eyes-YG91,93

Out of this world

Good morning all!  I was just browsing through my on-line subscription of Cricut and realized the February edition was out.  That means I can share my cards with you.  If you checkout out my CricArt (Cricut Art) tab you'll see projects (mostly cards) that I made using only Cricut images.
This card is my favorite mainly because I was so surprised at how cool looking the robot turned out.  To be honest I love my Cricut but I hate having to load a dozen cardstocks into the machine just to make one image so I decided I was going to just use my Neenah white cardstock and cut every shape I needed all at once, then once everything was cut I coloured the different pieces with my Copics.  It was awesome to finish an image so quickly, plus add dimension and have any colour "cardstock" my copics could make.  Easy peasy!
Here it is on page 80/81
I also used a stamp set I designed on this card called "Out of this world"
Robot-Robotz Cricut Cartridge
*hint-if you want to try colouring your Cricut pieces leave them on the sticky mat.  It's so much easier to let the mat "hold" everything still for you while you colour the image!

My new Copic Storage Unit

So some of you already know that I have jumped on the Copic band wagon!! So the next step is to get storage for my new most favorite thing in the world. I hate to have to spend major dollars for my already too expensive habit so I was looking for a cheap solution. And between my husband and I we came up with something pretty cool. (atleast I think it's cool).

So we bought some plastic pipe at the hardware store, I decided how long I wanted the pieces and hubby cut. We sanded the rough edges, crazy glued the whole thing together and here is the result....

It holds 12 Ciao or 10 Sketch Copics per tube.  There are 12 tubes so it will hold 120 Sketch or 144 Ciao markers.  And it only cost $10.00!!  The best part is that I can add more tubes as my collection grows.

I love my hubby, he's the best!!

Wooot wooot it's NEW RELEASE day at Whimsie Doodles!!!
I'm so excited about the new winter images it was killing me all week not to share them!  I'm going to show you my favortie for the moment! Yep just the moment cause I'm working on new images and they are now my new favorite!!  But I still like this one!  The Muffin Tops are really popular right now and this little guy is the third in the series.  So that means you can interchange the muffin tops and bottoms with the each other.  That is if you have the other set.  LOL
