WOJ Sneak Peek

Oh the cutest new designs for Whiff of Joy are coming Oct 31st.  If you love little elves and their whimsical charm your gonna love the new rubber stamps.
I thought I'd dig out my Prisma colouring and Gamsol for this card.  I stamped the image on Kraft cardstock and attached it to a Kraft card.  See I was trying to make a card using as little "supplies" as I could.

The sentiment is from Lizzie Anne Designs it says "There's no place like home for the holidays".

It's ShortCuts Thursday

that's right it's time to share more of my favorite ShortCuts cards!  Today's card is from waaaay back.  I used ShortCuts frosted card blank to make this card look soft to go with the soft colours of the bird.  You can still see what in inside the card but it's slightly muted by the frosted card.  The bird is paperpieced with a little inking and glitter added.

Snow Anya

Good morning fellow stampers and crafty peps!  I've had some cards I had to keep secret until they were posted at TGF and since the newsletter has been released I can now show you the cards I made for it.  It was killing me to have to hoard them away!

I didn't have a big snowflake punch or die so I used a Spellbinders Pendant die for the largest part of the snowflake.  I thought it would make a different looking flake all swirly and girly.
Can you tell I have a new border punch?

I made my own brad today!

I am a lucky girl.  I have the new iTop brad maker and I couldn't wait to make brads!  And with the new adorable Whiff of Joy santa's I knew exactly what kind of brad to make.
The background paper in this card has little bears and dolls throughout it.
So I made a couple of cards and with the scraps I made some brads.

Isn't Santa CUTE!! Whiff of Joy have 5 new Santa images, this one is called "Santa reading list" and there's "Santa baking", "Santa with snack", "Santa with gifts" and "Quiet Santa".
Here's a close up of the brad I made.

If you want to know exatly how I made a brad with the iTop here's a tutorial, click on the image and save it or print it out.

Stop by Whiff of Joy to see the new winter releases and their gallery full of gorgeous cards.

Oh such a gorgeous card!! TFS
please email whimsiedoodles@eastlink.ca to get your prize.

Thank you everyone who took the time to hop along with us!

2 "sweet' cards

Here's my attempt at making a card without an image.  Sentiment only, well with embellishments! Ha!  The sentiment is from Whimsie Doodles, it's a digital stamp I just print out and cut however I want to.  The good thing about digital stamps is I never make a mistake, or get ink on my hands!

This card is one of my favorites.  I used the fabulous clear card from ShortCuts.  I love using clear cards because it lets me focus on particular elements basically with noting!  I mean the rest of the background is clear so it maximizes the card front with minum visual clutter.

Whimsie Doodles Blog Hop

Are you ready to BLOG HOP?????

This is our first blog hop at Whimsie Doodles, and we are so excited! This is going to be a fiesta of fun and prizes… in fact, it’s going to be so good, we’re sure you’ll be asking us when we can do it again!

Here is a new card I made using my favorite digi from Whimsie Doodles. It's a brand new stamp that's available today called Skates for Christmas.

Incase your wondering why this image is my favorite because it reminds me of the days as a teenager when I would spend my saturdays skating at the local rink with all my friends.  I remember putting on these skates and wishing my toes wouldn't freeze! Off we would go my friends and I skating and laughing as Elvis Presley's Calendar Girl played in the background, it was always the same music year after year.  Skating was never complete until we had our yummy cup of hotchocolate.  Everytime I hear calendar girl now I suddenly crave hot chocolate! Ha!

Ok back to the hop.
Your first stop on the hop is Donna’s blog!  If your here from Kelly's blog then it's time to hop on over to Nicole's Blog.
In case you get lost along the way, here is the order (and yes, it is alphabetical!):

ShortCuts Thursday

Well it's that time of the week to show you some of my favorite ShortCuts cards.  These cards are from July.  This first card is my favorite becuse it was the first time I tried to make what I call "clusters" on a card  ( a little grouping of elements as the focus).

I find making masculin cards a little difficult.  So when I finished this card I was so proud that I managed to keep it boyish.

I'm pretty sure this card was my first attempt at creating a samp background on a clear card.  I stamped various stars and added clear jems all flowing towards the bottom of the card drawing your attention to the sentiment.

So you love clear cards yet??  I know they are my favorite to make.
Start having some fun with clear cards today... stop by ShortCuts, they are having a sale!!

ShortCuts Thursday

Wow where oh where is the week going?  While being a DT member for ShortCuts I was able to create projects with windows or clear packages and today I'm sharing my favorite 3D ShortCuts project.  The reason this is my favorite is well it was my first clear box and I was really surprised how easy it was to make.  But most of all it's because my son jumped in on the project with me.  See the yummy cupcake inside?  Well that was his creation.  After I finished the box we went into the kitchen to make cupcakes, after all what's a cupcake box without the cupcake! ha!
So this project was a family adventure.
Ta ta for now!

Memory Makers

I'm a Featured page idea for  Memory Makers for my digital page!!!
 here's the link http://www.memorymakersmagazine.com/page_ideas.aspx
I almost forgot about it!
If your on the home page my layout is there on the right!  How cool is that???  Me featured??

TGF christmas card

I found some christmas papers at my LSS and for some reason I just had to have'em!!  I know I have to have everything I see but this is different.  No really it is...you see the christmas trees in the background of the card?  Well that's the paper I had to buy, only I don't really know why because as I only shop for paper for cards I tend to stay away from large prints and although the trees aren't "big" they are still to busy for my tasts, atleast that's what I think and here it is going against my grain!  I was mesmerized by the trees, I  just loved the trees.  And I used the paper so now I justified my purchase.

ShortCuts thursday

Today were going back in time with ShortCuts to show you some oldies but goodies!  I started at the beginning of my ShortCuts DT career and picked my favorite projects.  So are samples you would have found on my blog waaaaaay back in January.  The first is a Gift Card Holder except mine is anything BUT a holder containing a gift card.  It actually holds little coupons for a child.  I picked this project because I love the "compartments' that I can decorate in this folder.  Plus I love the bright bold colours.  (Something I tend to stay away from).

The second sample is a card I made using a Clear card.  It was love at first sight when it came to ShortCuts clear cards!!  I'll never be the same again! hehe.  I was brave back then, looking at the stitching I can't believe how straight it was!  I also cut circles from a Frosted  sheet to make bubbles.  So I actually used 2 products in one card, I was so pleased with myself.  Hahahah I'm to easy!!

What's up with ShortCuts??  Well check out their blog announcement here.

Inktegrity Going Places Cards

Here are two more cards in the series of 4.  Same paper different cards.  I used the Going Places series "High there" and "On the right track" from Inktegrity to make these cards. Aren't the train and plane cute!!!  They are so easy to use and fun to play with.  I also added glitter to the images even though you can't see it in these photos.

Don't forget to stop by tommorrow for the template for using 1 sheet to make all 4 cards.
