Whimsie Toodles Hop

Well it is a busy day indeed with two blog hops!  This hop is a bit sad as it is a goodbye hop to the Whimsie Doodles Design Team.  I will miss everyone and their talent.  As a special send off Whimsie Doodles designed a fun summer set called Sentiment-edibles especiallly for this hop and is offering it half price today.

-All you have to do is Collect all the letters the team have on their blogs.
-Collect and unscrammble the letters to create two words
-these words are now your code to get Sentiment-edibles half price!!
Here are some cards I made using this set

I didn't have green buttons that match the ribbon on this card but I did (believe it or not) have nail polish that is a perfect match.  So I painted the buttons just like I would have painted my nails.

For the Scoop card I cut out the scoop of ice cream and pasted it on top the original two scoops to make this ice cream tower.
My Letter is...

Your next stop on the hop is to the very talented Donna's blog.

Manly Bombshell Hop

Good day crafty crafters!
Time for being hot...it's summer!
So what's the deal with a "Boy Toy" bloghop.
Well, it's dedicated to the men in our lives.
Doesn't have to be a boyfriend or husband..... maybe a soldier, a father, or just a masculine theme or card.
Bombshell stamps have always been great for "manly" things, but now more than ever.
Just think about the new digi clothes stamps for the Bombshell Angel. The policeman, fireman, etc... they are GREAT for sending out that perfect card.

AND MAN...the new motorcycle stamps !!!
I used the new gorgeous Harley Bikes stamps to make these cards.
Just keep hopping to see more manly inspiration

A little Sunshine Chibi style!

Hello, everybody!
It's preview time again at The Greeting Farm and first up, we have brand new Chibis from artist Jessica Hymas! It seems that our little resident Chib has become QUITE the world traveler! These brand new digis will be released on July 1st and just might be the cutest chibis yet!
There are FIVE new chibis in all, but today I have the pleasure of introducing you to Africa Chibi! Isn't she cute?

I made the background with Prisma Colouring pencils on Kraft cardstock.  I thought she would look cute dancing on an Oasis.

The TGF Farmers have a LOT more to show you today on the TGF Blog, and one lucky winner will take home ALL FIVE of these babies, so if you haven't made it over there yet, be sure to check it out!

The Greeting Farm has TONS of previews to bring you all week long, so be sure to stop by every day this week between the TGF Blog and Club Anya and Friends to see what's on the horizon...JULY 1st is coming VERY soon and we are PUMPED!

See you back here tomorrow with another Preview that you will definitely want to see, and make sure to check out the rest of my DT mates and the Critter Crew as they have previews today for you, too!

Amelia and Oliver

Happy Saturday!  Have you ever made too many cards??  Well sometimes I get carried away, I love colouring the hair on The Greeting Farms images.  So I end up with a bunch of stamped images with coloured hair and nothing else.  LOL
For the first card I thought I would venture out of my comfort zone and colour Amelia's hair a strawberry red.  I know I didn't go to far out of my zone but I did use a really red rather than say a strawberry blond or something like that.  I'm glad I did, I think the colour turned out great!
For the second card I used the aborable Oliver.  Now I can never decide if I should add colour to the part of the image that the fish bowl shows or not.  So I decided not too so the fish would stand out better.
Both these cuties are in one stamp set and are only $16.00.  Aren't they adorable??  If you want to check this set out for yourself stop here.  There are 3 sets of Oliver and Amelia doing different things.

Oh and I actually wrote down what colours I used to colour Amelia's hair so I can share with you
The reds for her hair are
R43,46 and 59

Flower Medallion

Did you know Whimsie Doodles has a new tutorial every Tuesday?
This week's Tutorial Tuesday was created by me.  Madellions were a page element I didn't think I'd like to make or use.  But I tried them and I kinda like them!  So if you haven't tried them and want to know how I mad them hop on over to Whimsie Doodles for the tutorial and try one out for yourself.
Here's a card using a flower like Medallion.

NO Layers??

Well I've been making some cards for the Ippity challenge/contest.  The challenge is to make a card without layers.  Now if you know me you will know how difficult this task is for me.  No layers=clean and simple and that means almost impossible to me.  I struggled but I pushed through and came up with some cards.  Now my beloved camera is still out for repairs so the photos are not that great.  So please bare with me.

Take a Spin

Good morning!  Today's card is kinda special, you see it's a masculine card and I have a hard time making these types of cards.  Why? Well it's a mental thing really, I mean I love to put ribbon and buttons on my cards and to me it looks very girly so when I set out to make a "man card" I try to avoid those things.  And well avoiding the things you love only make the process very difficult.  So for this card I switched the ribbon for string.  Oh and today is my husband's birthday (the whole reason I needed a man card).
I used the new Harley Bikes from Bombshell stamps to make this card.  If your looking for some really great "manly" stamps then check out Bombshell Stamps.  They have some really fabulous totally vintage images from Hot Rods and Motorcycles to Tattoo to and Pin Ups.

Farm Fresh Button It!

Buttons, buttons, who has the buttons? I do, I LOOOVE buttons!!
This week's Farm Fresh challenge is so up my alley cause it's all about buttons. So after all that excitment I hope you like my work. What's more exciting is that I used Dee Dee on my card. I think she is the most adorable of all the girls, I think it's her pig tails and big bright eyes.
Dee Dee is part of the Roll Call crew. She is 1 of 10 fabulous cuties all on one sheet.

Too cute

Today's post is a scrapbook page I made a while back.  I don't know why I haven 't shown this until now.  This is the second page I've made this year.  So far I have 5 pages made.  I can't believe it!  Anyway here's a page of my son, the picture was taken a few years ago.  I used OA Buddies (Oliver and his puppy) from The Greeting Farm to make this page.  I thought Oliver looked just like my son with his ball cap!

Christmas Baubles in June

Well it's been awhile.  I bought some Unity stamps a month ago and have finally gotten around to playing with them today.  Believe it or not I've been making Christmas cards.  The set is called Embellished Seasnon and it was the "deal of the day" and snagged it as soon as I could.

If you think you're seeing double you are.  I made the first card and liked it so much I made a second card but changed it up a bit.

Cherry the moment

Well it's another day and I actually have a new card to share.  I've been drooling over the Thrift Store designer paper I've been seeing on line and couldn't wait to get my hands on some.  Unfortunately my local scrapbook store has not yet stocked the paper so I was forced to buy it online.  LOL I know forced is not exactly the right word as I love shopping online.  But it sounds better than saying I simply could not wait any longer for the paper.
For today's card I used the stamp set How Sweet from Whimsie Doodles to make this card.

Viva La Verve Week 1

Today I actually used a stamp set that I won.  I can't believe I've managed to use it so quickly. LOL.  Well there's a very good reason for using it.  See I'm going to try and do all of the challenges for Verve this month.  It's called Viva La Verve and the challenge is to make a card based on a sketch AND one of the 3 bedrooms they post.  So it's a sketch plus colour challenge all in one.  So here's my first ever Verve card.

Today is new release day over at Whimsie Doodles and I can now start showing you the cards I've been holding back.  So today I have two cards, they are identical except one has a little pink and the other is doesn't.    I used the newest release Miyako Tea for these cards.

FFF_The Blings I love

Good morning.  I can't tell you how glad I am that it is Friday.  What a long this has been for me.  Today I actually have a layout for The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday challenge.  I know it's not my usual, I'm straying from card making, but don't worry it's just a little side track.  The challenge was to create something based on your favorite jewerly.  So I thought a layout showing the jewerly would be OK.  I haven't made a scarpbook page about me in years!

So my favorite necklace is this one, it has strings of beads twised together with a big o'l wooden heart.  I can't even tell you WHY it's my favorite because I don't know why myself.   Ha!
The other items I'm pointing at are my engagement ring and anniversary ring.  They are my most favorite of all my jewerly.

Have a great weekend!

Dad's day card

I don't have any sneak peeks for Whimsie Doodles today so  I snagged these from Denise.

But I do have a card!!  I used the new image Whale and Baby  from Whimsie Doodles to make this Father's Day card.

Whimsie baby card and sneak

I was blurfing the other day and came across an adorable card made by Melissa Phillips and just had to CASE it.  I made a simple baby rattle shape and decorated it with Baby Sentiments from Whimsie Doodles.
I enlarged the circle sentiment a little bit and framed it with a Nestie.
And before I go here's a peak at the new June releases.

Don't forget to stop by the Whimsie Blog and leave your best guess as to what the peaks are for a chance to win them.
